The packages Gemma offers are essentially small sites to inform your audience what you have to offer, it can act as a simple business card detailing your name, logo, location and contact details or present further information such as a run down of services for example.
Every package will include a CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) file, even if you opt for one page, so if you decide to add pages at a later date the style can be applied with ease. You also get basic SEO as standard and submission to the most common search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN).
Gemma is able to implement small paypal shopping carts as long as you supply a list of products with images, selling prices and postage costs (if applicable).
Small Flash elements can also be included, such as buttons and banners but please make sure you specify this when asking for a quote.
Hosting and Domain Names are not included, however Gemma is more than happy to upload your site for you at no extra cost if required. Please see below for further details on hosting and domain names.
Where can I register my domain and/or purchase hosting?
There are a number of different places you can purchase your domain and hosting; both of which are essential to have a website. Two places that Gemma has used and would recommend are 1&1 Internet and 123-reg. You do not necessarily have to purchase them both from the same place.
Can you redesign existing sites?
Yes. All you need to do is let Gemma know your web address together with a list of what you like/dislike about the existing site and what you would like from the new site. She will then supply you with some feedback and a quote.
I've heard of SEO, but what is it?
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines. Usually, the higher a site appears the more visits it gets. SEO includes items such as keyword density and placement, image names, good internal link structure, keywords in page headers and metatags. Gemma includes basic SEO as standard.
Do you offer a discount for not-for-profit and registered charities?
Yes. Gemma is keen to help out wherever she can. Just get in contact to start discussing your requirements.
What if I want some changes to the website later on?
This is not a problem. Just get in contact with Gemma to let her know what you would like changing. Small changes are charged by the hour, but she will give you a quote for a larger change.
I would like to make weekly/monthly updates, can you do this?
Gemma can make regular weekly/monthly updates for you which are charged by the hour, just let her know if this is something you require. Unfortunately she is unable to make daily updates.
Can I add pages at a later date if I need to?
You certainly can. If you would like a one page website just to get you started then you can add pages to this at any time.
